Ray White agent Anita Martelli has three sections at Lake Tarawera, in Rotorua, up for grabs.

The sections, each around 1700sqm in size, were initially part of a 1ha estate, which she sold to an out-of-town buyer in September for an undisclosed sum.

The buyer only wanted the luxury bach overlooking the lake and decided to sell the rest of the estate, which has an RV of nearly $6m.

He told OneRoof the estate’s outlook and location had drawn him in. “It was a beautifully designed property that blended the houses with landscaping for privacy, relaxation, and water sports,” he said, adding that he planned to add a new master suite and bunk room to his new holiday home.

He had already sold off the second residence on the estate - a one-bedroom bach surrounded by mature macrocarpas, poplars, oaks, and Norfolk pines - and had engaged Martelli to sell the three sections at 18, 20, 34 Te Toroa Drive.

The premium site is the 1626sqm section at 34 Te Toroa Drive. It has a price indication of $2m, has its own title, sits on a headland, and has jetty access.

18 and 20 Te Toroa Drive are 1750sqm in size and were the site of the estate's grass tennis court. They have a price indication of between $1.5m and $1.8m.

All three sections front the lake reserve and are surrounded by bush.

Martelli told OneRoof it was rare to come across such a large section like that, let alone three, at Lake Tarawera. The bay sits at the end of the lake and offers easy access to the other lakes in the district. It is also close to mountain bike tracks and walking trails.

When Martelli listed the estate earlier this year, she said some people arrived on their boat to look at it. “It felt James Bond-like.”

She said the sections would suit families looking for a legacy property or buyers who loved Lake Tarawera.

OneRoof reported earlier this week that a large property on Spencer Road, in Lake Tarawera, sold last year for $10m. The sale smashed Rotorua's previous house price record of $7m.
