About our local area

Around 80 minutes drive north of Auckland City and 45 minutes south of Whangarei, Mangawhai is located on Northlands beautiful east coast.

Mangawhai Village is a thriving collection of shops, galleries and cafes and Mangawhai Heads is a tranquil lagoon-style harbour with sand dunes and a surf beach.

You’ll find beautiful beaches, such as Forestry, Te Arai and Waipu Cove, just around the corner and the Hen and Chicken islands are also in easy reach.
