The masterplan will have a distinctive character featuring narrow carriageways that follow the natural topography. There will be a variety of lot sizes to accommodate different house typologies including deep lots with slender frontages to create a strong street edge. Landmark buildings will be strategically placed at key vantage points around the site to demarcate different zones and frame the beautiful vistas.
It is intended that Mission Hills will be a highly walkable neighbourhood with safe, pedestrian friendly streets and a series of interconnected paths that maximise experience of the natural topography, landscaping and views.
A centrally located neighbourhood centre will include boutique retail and amenity, residential apartments, carparking and a community reserve with playground and facilities to host events.
A large portion of the Mission Hills site will be dedicated to landscaping, achieved through re-vegetation of slopes and gullies, the enhancement of wetland systems, and street tree planting. This will not only enhance the natural beauty of the site; it will also provide a meaningful and impactful level of carbon sequestration and a rich biodiversity across the site.
The joint venture team is currently exploring clean energy options including wind and solar production; electric car charging infrastructure; stormwater and grey water capture and reticulation; rain tanks for all homes; new public transport routes and nodes; and community food production.
Mission Hills will be a place where people experience high levels of physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing as a result of their environment.
