Locally born and bred, Brendon has been proud to live and call Southland home all his life.  Raised at Awarua Radio, Brendon was educated at Clifton Primary, Tweedsmuir Intermediate and Southland Boys High schools.

His working career has been in the retail and service industries, primarily with liquor wholesaler Wilson Neill and the NZ betting agency TAB, where he was recognised with three national awards.

Brendon lists his leisure activities as enjoying a round of golf, reading, following the All Blacks and Australian test cricket team .

He is actively involved in the racing industry, having success as an owner/trainer of greyhounds and since 1991 has officiated as the raceday judge at Southland galloping meetings.

Entering the Real Estate industry in 2005 , Brendon puts his success down to delivering on the widely acclaimed southern values of being 'genuine, sincere and a team player .'
