Chris is an easy going, yet highly analytical individual with an exacting and practical nature. Chris has successfully managed complex deceased estate and relationship property sales and he has had experience in marketing large development properties to international clients. The son of an architect, Chris completed just a year at the School of Architecture when the first Round the World yachts arrived. He wanted to be a yacht designer, and chasing his dream, Chris sailed 56,000 miles offshore including 7 legs in 4 Whitbread Round the World Races representing 3 different countries. Working as a boat builder, Chris used his design skills to help build more than 30 composite ocean racing yachts including almost every NZ America’s Cup yacht until we won the Cup. He was the Project Manager for a 65-foot luxury cruising yacht for an international client, and 146 foot long “Mari Cha 3” took more than 4 years to build. With a love of design and meeting people from every walk of life, and with responsibility for a young family, Chris turned to selling residential real estate as a more sustainable career. He renovated and sold his first plaster home during the leaky homes crisis, and now he lives in his architect designed home near Takapuna Beach with his 23-year-old son, an engineering student. Chris won a Kodak award for photography, which he believes is the key to a great real estate sale, and for 17 years now he has helped people make complex life-changing decisions when buying or selling their home, and he still likes setting records! “It’s about knowing your position, having a plan, managing a team and driving the sales process to a successful conclusion.
