About Chris Flanagan

Chris grew up in a farming environment so it was inevitable his work would always have a focus on the great outdoors. With nearly four decades of experience selling real estate in Selwyn, Chris’ experience puts him in the upper echelon of rural property agents nationwide. As Bayleys manager for Rolleston, Darfield and Leeston, his team of agents benefits from his huge experience of the region and significant real estate expertise. There’s not much Chris has not seen or achieved in his time and he knows how to expertly guide his team to achieve the best results possible for their clients.

Real estate was Chris’ first career after attending Lincoln University. His natural aptitude for the industry saw him quickly build a solid reputation culminating in owning his own successful real estate agency, Matson & Allan, for 22 years before it merged with Bayleys.

Chris loves dealing with rural families and helping them achieve their real estate goals. His long successful career has been established on being a good listener so he can identify what his clients want to achieve then work out how to best deliver. Always operating with the highest levels of integrity and personal ethics, Chris instils the same values in his team.

Chris knows rural clients appreciate honesty, transparency and a hassle-free approach, a good firm handshake and someone who will look them in the eye. He is proud to guide his team to always give reliable feedback and advice along with a cost effective and efficient marketing solution for best result. Whether it’s a first rural property, home, succession planning or acquisition to grow, his knowledge of rural Canterbury is hugely sought after.

Outside of real estate it’s no surprise Chris’ love of the outdoors sees him boating and fishing, on lake and sea. Married to Juliet they have raised three wonderful children and Chris has a firm focus on family values, enjoying spending quality time with his wife and children.
