About Emma McCashin
Having started my career as a property lawyer in 2000, I am passionate about real estate and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of property investment and ownership. Prior to my return to real estate in 2018, I re-opened and operated local icon, McCashin’s Brewery, alongside my husband. Since our move to Nelson in 2009, we have welcomed three children, six chooks, three dogs, six goats and three lambs to the family, while completing three renovations, numerous build projects and three subdivisions. Having recently worked on behalf of a developer selling house and land packages, I know that this process can be overwhelming for those that are new to it. I thoroughly enjoy the creative process of starting with a blank canvas and working through to the finished end-product, as well as the process of dealing with council on building consents which can require a lot of tenacity and a problem solving approach. Being able to support other people through this process and the vast array of decision making required, is very rewarding. Combined with my personal property experience, professional experience in commercial lease negotiation and fit-out, subdivision development and developer section sales results in an extensive range of experience in property issues and opportunities. I have a naturally hands-on approach to getting things done and offer creative and out of the square ideas, often based on my own, real world experience. My genuine interest and knowledge of the property market and extensive business experience, combined with professional expertise and networks enables me to add real value when helping clients to sell or redevelop their properties. I am often able to suggest pragmatic solutions for purchasers, where needed to get them over the line with finance or other issues.
