Graeme is a true local boy, Mosgiel born and bred and has lived in Mosgiel all his life. Educated at Green Street Primary School and The Taieri High School he then went on the complete an Engineering apprenticeship at NZ Railways.

In 1989, Graeme and his wife Sandra purchased the local jewellery shop and operated Downes Showcase Jewellers for 26 years. A great deal of trust and a reputation for honesty was earned over these years dealing with local people and their precious items. During this time Graeme was actively involved in the Mosgiel Business Association, President on numerous occasions and a board member of Gemtime N.Z. Ltd for 18 years.

A family and community orientated person; Graeme was a member of Mosgiel Round Table for 20 years helping to raise money for local groups and charities. Graeme has always had a love of houses, building new, re-designing and renovating. It is now a natural step to combine his passions of the Mosgiel/Taieri area and houses into a career in Real Estate.

His natural skills of honesty, integrity and confidentiality will ensure he will work hard to obtain the best possible results for his clients and he is excited at the privilege of joining the award winning team at LJ Hooker Mosgiel.
