James’ qualifications make him a well-rounded salesperson who applies great knowledge and experience to reap the best result for his clients. James’ qualifications include Masters in Linguistics and Economics, a Bachelor in International Trade and English Literature, a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management and a Certificate in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.

James has a strong business background. Prior to becoming a real estate salesperson for Barfoot & Thompson, James held positions of responsibility in the coal and occupational health and safety industries in China. He held roles as an English teacher, interpreter, government officer and project manager. One of his biggest achievements was being the Executive Director of the China International Occupational Safety and Health Exhibition (COS+H), which is now Asia’s largest safety show.

Since moving to New Zealand, James and his wife have both taken up successful careers in real estate. You will often find James and his son pounding the pavements, meeting the local community and delivering informative flyers in his area.

James speaks Chinese and English fluently making him the salesperson of choice for a wide variety of people. He joined Barfoot & Thompson because of the culture and team spirit. Barfoot & Thompson has a network of over 900 salespeople who all work together to get a fair deal for their customers.
