About Jason Wills
As the Chief Operations Manager for the award-winning Gold Real Estate Group, Jason Wills has carved out a distinguished career in the real estate industry. With over two decades of experience as the Chief Information Officer for Harcourts International, he has been instrumental in shaping Harcourts into a global powerhouse in real estate.
A pioneer in the industry, Jason launched a myriad of market-first innovations. These include creating the first searchable real estate website in 1996, being the first to leverage Google Maps and Google Base, and trailblazing the use of Second Life and Windows Mobile for a workforce of 2,000 in 2004. He was also ahead of the curve in developing apps for the iPhone and iPad, and Harcourts became the first real estate company to be showcased across Apple’s global network with a case study detailing their transformative use of iOS technology.
Jason has contributed groundbreaking real estate solutions that have allowed the Harcourts brand to flourish in 10 different countries. After briefly stepping away from real estate to launch a digital marketing firm with his wife, Jason was drawn back into the industry. He assumed the role of General Manager for Farmlands Real Estate and spearheaded its merger with Property Brokers. Later, he rejoined Harcourts in a multifaceted role as Branch Manager & Business Development. His consultative skills also found an outlet in coaching agents and managers to excel in their roles.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jason serves on the board of the newly established BetterMan Foundation, a charitable organisation committed to enhancing men's mental health and overall well-being.
When he’s not guiding his team to success through his culture-first and approachable leadership style, Jason hits the gym and frequent hot yoga sessions to destress and refocus. A father to three and a foodie at heart, he cherishes his downtime by socialising with friends and family over delicious kai and planning his next travel adventures throughout Aotearoa and further afield.

Well, it's hard to say that the experience was nothing short of exceptional, and way beyond our wildest expectations. We weren't initially intending to sell, but Jason's confidence in what we considered to be an optimistic valuation got us interested, so to market we went. We took his advice to invest in staging the empty flat, and it blew us away with the difference it made - don't think twice - DO THIS. The new Govt regulations had us a little concerned, and definitely impacted on the numbers attending the open homes, which was a cause for concern for us. However, throughout the process Jason remained confident in a great result, and worked hard to ensure that there was quality interest at what we felt was an optimistic price target. Come auction day we were literally stunned by the result, which well exceeded the most optimistic end of the valuation range. Post sale, Jason was also very proactive in ensuring that the paperwork and possession process ran to plan. I can see where that could absorb quite a bit of time and effort if it weren't for the diligence of such a professional agent. We all know the salesman stigmas, pushy, fluffy jargon and greasy. You never quite know who's side they are on.
Well Jason is NOT your typical salesman. His utmost professionalism, genuine care and extensive market and area knowledge set us at ease.
