After completing his Bachelor of Property Degree at Auckland University Matt entered the family-based conglomerate as a third-generation Bayley in 2007, understanding that this career would be one for life.

Growing up in and around real estate, Matt recognised from an early age that property success centres around building robust and authentic relationships with clients, achieved only by providing excellence at each step of the working relationship. Hence, Matt has dedicated himself to providing not only the highest possible standard but by adding value where he can and enjoying true friendships with clients that stand the test of time.

For over fifteen years, Matt has immersed himself in each of Bayleys’ commercial and now residential divisions: Research, Special Projects & Mortgagee Sales, BCL Properties & Development, International Sales, local Commercial Corporate Sales and Leasing. Matt has now been appointed to the role of Sales Manager for the Auckland Central Residential Team, and brings his experience of working with his own residential portfolio and developments to bear on his work.

Matt also made a strategic move to work for Platform Consulting Group for three years on interior commercial fit out and design gaining invaluable project management and spatial planning experience. Now, from this combined experience, Matt is distinguished by his ability to provide valuable insights into construction processes and costs, fit out rates, and spatial requirements to help clients win the edge in a competitive market. He enjoys ongoing relationships within the design and construction industries.

Matt is understandably proud to work for the Bayleys brand, not only because it is a family business, but because it is a market innovator. Outside of work, Matt is a keen sportsman who has played polo at a national level. He loves to get out on the boat fishing, diving and game fishing, and is only too happy to be accompanied by clients.
