About Naven Pillay
If one had to ask his clients to describe Naven Pillay, the leading consistent trait would be “you can trust Naven.” He has built solid long-term relationships with clients with his excellent listening skills, empathetic manner, and most of all, because he always acts in his client’s best interests.
“I don’t sell houses – I sell homes.”
Naven’s commitment is to negotiate the best price for you, and to ensure you have the least stress. You can rely on him to always be available, to keep you regularly informed, to take care of every detail, and to always provide exceptional service.
Naven immigrated to New Zealand in 2001 from South Africa, and brings a sharp financial mind and experience to this role. Having qualified as a cultural educator with a degree in Language, Arts & Culture (South India), Naven previously worked as a credit analyst with Rand Merchant Bank, where he completed two credit diplomas in banking with the Institute of Bankers (SA), and on arriving in New Zealand, spent five years with Fisher & Paykel Finance.
Naven is very much a Kiwi, but he does remember what it’s like to immigrate to a new country. He has a great rapport and empathy with new home owners, and having worked, studied and lived in three different countries, he has a very good understanding of different cultural needs.
“I believe in listening to my clients and understanding what’s important to them, giving them with the best possible information, and providing exceptional service so their experience is a great one.”

Testimonials
Hi Grant, I am writing today to compliment one of your employees, Naven Pillay, for the excellent service he has provided us in the last 10 months, yes 10 months! We have finally and happily bought our first homes with his help. Mr. Naven went the extra mile just to make sure my wife and I are happy at all times, he even kept in touch outside his work hours at night to keep me in the loop with everything and I really admire that. I have always been pleased with the service I receive from day one, I have been exposed to the market so much more through Naven, he has a wealth of knowledge and work ethics when it comes to buying or selling a property. I never felt I was being rushed, pushed or lied to. I can trust Naven with my house keys any day of the year. There are days where my wife and I attend open homes listed under different agencies who do not want to share their listing with outside agents but Naven would take time off his weekend to accompany us as a friend to give us an honest-
Where to start?
After a couple of days of reflection it is time to try and put into words our heartfelt thanks to you personally for all the effort you put into the selling of our house, which ultimately resulted in the final bid way beyond our expectations.
There is no doubt that the way you organised the advertising, staging, legalities, maintenance and your constant communication at every stage of the process gave us a level of comfort rarely experienced during the purchase or sale of a property. We have done this many times and have a lot of experience. Finally your advice with regard to the offers we received prior to the auction clearly demonstrated your knowledge of the market and confidence to stay with the plan. And to think we were in America throughout this whole process!!
Many many thanks,
Alwyn and Margaret Thorpe

Naven is an outstanding salesman who went out on a limb to sell my property. He did far more than was
expected to obtain the best possible price. I would definitely recommend him to anybody intending who
intends selling their property.

Naven is not only working for himself as he tries to see to it that everything goes well during the marketing campaign, he will get in touch with you, he will spend time to chat with you not only talking about sale of the property. That's why I personally put an exceptional comment on my Facebook about him and will refer all my family and friends to him. We are based in Sydney-Australia and my wife was very sick during this time – Naven took care of everything that needed to be done. I am very grateful for this.
