Hello, I'm Nicola Cooke and I have lived here in the Bay for 33 years watching it grow from a sleepy hollow with 2 restaurants to a dynamic, diverse, mostly forward looking town of over 100,000 people. After a varied working background in education, insurance, medical administration and the building industry in design and project management, I moved into the real estate industry in 2004 where I have transferred the skills acquired in my previous occupations to this one. Since then I have been constantly upskilling to achieve mastery of this job of selling houses.

Skills Involved
Selling houses sounds simple but it involves matching buyer to house - psychology, understanding building and what makes a good home, communication skills to present the home to the public either in print, verbal or on the internet, communication skills with buyers and vendors , time management and last but not least negotiation skills to close the deal and respect for the parties involved.

Further Education
I have completed Graduate Diploma of Business Studies in Real Estate at Massey University, am a Licensed Agent under the REAA and an Associate of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.
I am also a 100 Club achiever.

Area Covered
I work out of the new Gate Pa office, well placed to cover the growth of the city in the south but cover the whole of the Tauranga area on this side of the bridge. I also work in the rural lifestyle market on the southern side of the city. As I live in rural Welcome Bay I have a special affinity to that area as I feel it has great geographic features ( north facing slopes with views of the Mount) great schooling (primary) and proximity to Mount , town and the Greerton/ Gate Pa area. Greerton/Gate Pa with its eclectic mix of inhabitants is another firm favourite of mine.

I arrived in Tauranga in November 2007 but did not move into my own home till September the following year. I had a variety of realtors and some rather shoddy experiences including conflicts of interest before fortune let me latch on to Nicola Cooke from Eves.
