- Peter Campbell
Peter started Real Estate in 1986 in the South Waikato managing 130 rental properties along with being involved in sales which included housing, commercial, industrial and farms. He gained his Auctioneer’s Licence in 1989 and relocated to Tauranga in March 1992 where he joined Tozer Real Estate, working in the Cherrywood office specialising in the Western Suburbs where he made many sales based on his ability to negotiate with patience and tenacity.
While working for Tozer Real Estate he called many successful auctions until Tozer Real Estate sold in March 2014. Peter now works for Eves Realty – still in the Cherrywood office, selling and listing throughout Tauranga.
Peter has been involved in Recreational Fishing Rights since 2000 and is currently Vice President of the New Zealand Sports Fishing Council and Director of the Sports Fishing Council’s public outreach initiative ‘LegaSea’. Peter was on the committee of the Tauranga Sports Fishing Club from 1995 where he organised and compered the fishing contests until 2000. In 1999 he started a three year tenure as president.
After surviving a brain tumour in 2002 driving a car was not allowed for two years so he took up cycling. This soon became a passion and he competed in the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge for the first time in 2004 and has since completed the challenge ten times. He also competes in the Tauranga half ironman in January as the cyclist in a team of three.
