Born and raised in Central Otago makes this region home for me and cemented a long term plan to settle here permanently.

It took longer than expected, however here we are. My wife Rose and our three sons, Sam, Jack and George arrived from the Kapiti Coast in 2004 where I managed a large real estate office and previously sold property.

My Real Estate career began 25 years ago at Lawrence, West Otago while running our Backpackers Hostel, (Oban House). Real estate sales took my full attention and became my passion which lead us to sell Oban House and move to where the real estate market was larger.

Dunedin was home for several years while selling real estate before relocating to the Kapiti Coast. This proved to be a great move for our family as the real estate market was very busy which helped my business grow very quickly.

I enjoyed the competitive environment of working within a large team and for a multi-office company which provided a high level of training. The knowledge and experience gained over this time was very rewarding which also provided many awards as a top national performer within the industry.

The next challenge was to gain my agents licence (AREINZ) which was issued after two years of study and block courses at Massey University in Wellington.

This licence enabled me to open my own office which was my next challenge.

The plan was to relocate to Wanaka and open my own real estate company which took longer than anticipated, however we relocated in 2004 to manage an existing real estate company on a one-year contract which ended up being nine years.

Finally, Prime Wanaka Real Estate was formed and we opened our doors in February 2013 which has been highly successful from day one.

I have been told that I have a reputation for being a no nonsense agent with a straight-up approach which has gained a wealth of repeat customers and clients.
