About Russell Oliver
Russell Oliver About me Born in 1965 in Wellington and raised in Upper Hutt, I went to Pinehaven primary, Fergusson Intermediate and Upper Hutt College. After College with both grandfathers and my father all builders I was thrust into the building industry. I decided that building wasn’t for me and instead picked up a trowel. I watched keenly as family members speculated on the property market and encouraged by what I saw at the age of 21 I brought my first home. This was the beginning of my obsession with property. I have continued to buy and sell property over the years. I currently reside in the Akatarawa Valley with my family. My wife, Heidi and I have 3 children, Dillion (23), Hayden (21) and Elana (15). Over the years I have had many interests. Weight Training was my first obsession with many titles gained in Power Lifting. My most notable were winning lifts in the New Zealand Bench Press Champs in 1997 where I broke the New Zealand record, and 1998. Football was also a favorite. I played many Central League games in the Nineties – alongside and against many New Zealand All White players. Golf is my newest hobby. I have competed in a number of tournaments and was winner of the Stroke Play Champs in 2012 and Match Play Champion 2014. Real Estate is my next challenge. I am excited and looking forward to working with Brian Childs and Tall Poppy.
