In 1989 I approached Richard Crawshaw of Ball and Crawshaw fame and asked him if I could join his company to sell real estate. Without hesitation he said yes Sarah but followed it up with “you’ll probably last 6 months!! – I can’t see you giving up your tennis or golf!!” Well, Richard had to eat his words as I remained in that company for years driving backwards and forwards from Waerenga-O-Kuri and I loved every minute of it. So my real estate continued over a span of 20 odd years and I always knew that I would get back into it before I retired forever. One day I bumped into Bronwyn and she invited me to join her team and without hesitation I said “yes”. So juggling my real estate with family has proved to be a very happy union and I am so pleased to be back in the industry. I started in March 2016 with Bronwyn Kay at Shed 3 down at the harbour – a fabulous area and a pleasure to meet and greet the people who come and visit us. The market is very very busy and heaps of activity and hustle and bustle that continues every day. So leaving the farm a few years ago, we now live in Harris Street a few minutes from Shed 3 a far cry from the 30 minute drive of yester year.
