Originally from Korea, Sun ventured into the realm of assisting international students in finding ideal educational institutions and accommodations upon her arrival in 2000, culminating in a prosperous venture. Transitioning into horticulture with her husband, Sun managed a successful flower-growing enterprise in Drury for five years before pursuing a web design and development degree at Auckland's Media Design School while her daughters began schooling.

Subsequently, she ventured into the culinary world, owning and operating a thriving café and catering business for two years, yielding substantial profits. In 2017, upon entering the real estate domain, prompted by her husband, Sun found her true calling.
