Young Kim is very proud to be one of the foundation members of the Dannemora branch of Barfoot&Thompson. Young and his family immigrated to New Zealand from South Korea in mid 1998 after an illustrious career as a metallurgical engineer. For 21 years he worked for an engineering company, eventually rising to the position of managing director of the Thai Daelim Co Ltd.

Young gained invaluable experience overseeing the construction of petrochemical plants during three years in Cairo and six years in Bangkok. During these periods he enjoyed meeting people from unique and brilliant cultures. His appreciation of diversity grew even more while operating his own photo shop in Howick – Deluxe Photo Service – for six years. Through his courteous and respectful manner, he established invaluable relationships with hundreds of clients from the Kiwi, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Korean and other community groups.

Young continued this strong focus on customer service during his real estate career in Dannemora. When he joined Barfoot&Thompson, he promised: “I will provide outstanding service to all my clients with integrity, honesty and enthusiasm.” Young has kept this promise, and this is evident in the legacy of hundreds of contented and trusting buyers and sellers he is creating. “Knowing that my clients trust me gives me great contentment and pleasure.”
