It was the scene of a horrific murder that has gripped the world for years on end.
But now, the Italian sharehouse where British student Meredith Kercher was killed in November 2007 is on the market — yet again.
Just three years after it last changed hands, the four-bedroom villa is once again for sale — with a £260,000 price tag ($486,000).
Located on the outskirts of medieval Perugia in Italy’s picturesque Umbria region, the cottage, which has views of the surrounding hillside, is not far from the university attended by Ms Kercher before her death.

When it was last on the market in 2013, the house took two years to sell.
According to Italian media reports, agents have described the two-level property as a “villa in the countryside in the historic centre” boasting a large living area, custom furniture, three bathrooms and four bedrooms.
The current owner has renovated the property since snapping it up in 2015, and it now very different from the way it appeared when it was leased by Ms Kercher, 20-year-old US student Amanda Knox and two other Italian women in 2007.
THE MURDER:
Meredith Kercher’s semi-naked body was found in a bedroom of the home on November 1, 2007.
The 21-year-old, who had moved to the student town of Perugia from South London in August in an exchange program with the University of Leeds, had been stabbed 47 times.
Her throat had also been slashed.
The home was seized by authorities under a confiscation order that lasted for two years, before being returned to the former owners in 2009.
THE CASE:
Italian police alleged Ms Kercher had died after a sex game went wrong, and they charged Ms Kercher’s flatmate Amanda Knox, and Ms Knox’s Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito over the murder.
Bloody fingerprints found at the crime scene were later discovered to belong to Rudy Guede, a man known to Ms Kercher and Ms Knox’s Italian housemates.
Dubbed “Foxy Knoxy” by the media, Ms Knox became the focus of intense global attention as the case progressed.
Ms Knox and Mr Sollecito were both convicted in December 2009 and handed 26 and 25-year sentences.
They served four years of their sentences before being acquitted on appeal in 2015 following a lengthy court battle.
Mr Guede, who was tried separately, was found guilty of sexual assault and murder and given a 16-year sentence that he is still serving.
THE ANNIVERSARY:
Last year, on the 10th anniversary of Ms Kercher’s death, Ms Knox penned an essay paying tribute to her slain housemate and “closest friend”, revealing she still missed the murdered student.
She also revealed she still received death threats regularly — but denied having anything to do with the notorious killing.
“My memories of Meredith are buried beneath the horrific autopsy photos and crime scene footage I saw, the slurs I was called, the death threats I received (and still receive).”
“I remember that I loved her accent. I remember the time I wanted to get dressed up and she happily loaned me a pair of her tights, like a big sister. And I remember the last time I saw her, ten years ago today, slinging her purse over her shoulder and waving goodbye to me on her way out to meet up with her British friends,” Ms Knox wrote.
That same year, Ms Knox also revealed she had moved on with new boyfriend Christopher Robinson after posting a photo of the couple in fancy dress on Instagram.
