The reason North Shore's housing market is blowing hot and cold

The latest figures in the OneRoof Property Report made for sober reading for homeowners on Auckland's North Shore. Nine out of 10 of New Zealand's biggest fallers in median house values in the last 12 months were in Auckland, including Albany, Sunnynook, Castor Bay, Narrow Neck, Murrays Bay, Campbells Bay and Chatswood. But one of Auckland's biggest rising suburbs, Takapuna, was also on the Shore. Focus Live talked to Bayleys North Shore general manager Hayden Stanaway to find out what's going on in the housing market and why the figures aren't something to panic about.
