As "chattels" go, this is a beauty.

A vendor is offering a 1973 Rolls-Royce Corniche Coupe to the lucky buyer of a country manor at 56 Old Coach Way in Ramarama, south of Auckland.

Barfoot & Thompson agent Scott McElhinney, who is marketing the four-bed luxury home and the 1.86 ha it sits on, says in the listing ad that the car will be given to the winning bidder at the auction for free.

The listing says the property is surplus to the vendor's needs and describes the sale as "urgent".

The Rolls-Royce Corniche Coupe was the luxury car of choice for the rich and famous in the 1960s and 1970s, and the price tag then was equivalent of NZ$500 million today. Nowadays 1973 models can sell for about $100,000.

Luxury estates such as 56 Old Coach Way tend to sell for a lot more so bidders should come prepared.

The property itself has a 2017 CV of $3m and come with all the trimmings you'd expect in a stately home.

A gated entry and a sealed driveway lead to the house, which is surrounded by park-like gardens, a stunning feature of which is a waterfall.

The double doors of the residency open up to a luxury foyer with chandeliers and French oak floors leading to two living areas with one opening to a kitchen and a dining area.

The formal and informal living areas can be arranged as desired with vendors using one as a music room.

The ground floor also has a farm-house kitchen with white cabinets and contrasting black bench top.

The office with a wardrobe and laundry room with a few storage units next door is situated on the other side of ground level by the two-car garage.

The home will be sold at auction on December 11.

It's not the first time a property agent throws in a car into a property sale. The owner of a 8ha property in Waitoki, near Silverdale, gifted a McLaren 12C that retails around $189,000 to an auction winner in June this year.
