One of Auckland's leading high-end furniture and interior design stores, Corso de’ Fiori, is for sale.
The business was founded by owner Margot Acland in 1989 and has long occupied a high-profile spot in Newmarket.
Acland says she is keen for the name to continue to be an important part of New Zealand's retail sector. "Corso de Fiori has played a big part in my life and I am very keen to see the business continue to provide an eclectic range of furniture and homeware products both locally and nationally,” she says.
The business, which has annual sales revenues of $1.8 million, with the wholesale division doubling its sales in the 2019-20 financial year, is being marketed for sale by ABC Business Sale broker Nico Wamsteker.

Wamsteker said Corso de’ Fiori operates a retail and wholesale businesses from its premises at 8 George Street, with buyers able to purchase the whole business or just the retail operation.
"Corso de’ Fiori will benefit in the coming months as customers who usually travel overseas during the winter months will now look to upgrade their homes and update furniture and furnishings."
Wamsteker said Acland and her team had expanded the business and established Citta Design as well as a shareholding in BoConcept. There are closes ties between Corso de’ Fiori and Citta, in fact, Citta Wholesale is a supplier to the business.
