One of New Zealand's most viewed property this year, a luxury penthouse with Gotham City vibes, has been relisted with an eye on overseas buyers.
The super penthouse at the top of Auckland's 155m-high Metropolis tower first hit the market and headlines in August with a $10 million price tag.
The property was withdrawn last month and relisted with another agency, and a different market in mind.
The previous listing championed the apartment's playboy decor, putting the huge Batman insignia, dancing pole, and rotating car bed front and centre.

The apartment still looks wild - there's no escaping the lava marble and nightclub lighting - but the tone is certainly more subdued.
Bayleys agent Dominique Donaghy told OneRoof that the vendor had owned the apartment for 10 years and had dressed it for his own use, and not with future buyers in mind.
That said, the penthouse decor is anything but ordinary. “Every corner is crafted to impress, from the expansive living areas to the opulent Italian marble, floor-to-ceiling onyx,” Donaghy and fellow listing agent Julie Quinton write in the listing on OneRoof.
Although the penthouse had been promoted as a "Bat Cave", a buyer could keep the current theme or completely refresh it and make it their own, Donaghy told OneRoof.
“There are some things people would want to take out,” said Donaghy. She added that the vendor was willing to sell the apartment with the car bed or take it out. Without the car, the room could be reconfigured back into a master bedroom, she added. “They can reconfigure that and close it off again.”
The apartment is also high-tech, with many features, such as the hydraulic doors and the lighting for the massive onyx walls, kitchen, and bar, controlled from a bespoke app, Donaghy said.
“It’s not the standard cookie-cutter kind of penthouse apartment.”
Donaghy said the apartment could appeal to Asian buyers. “Which is why we're pushing out a lot of marketing in Singapore,” she said. “It kind of matches a potential Asian buyer."
Her colleagues, meanwhile, are marketing the penthouse in Australia.
“We've had different photographers in, and we've got different videographers in and have done different things,” said Donaghy. “The vendor is very serious, and he wants it sold.”
Bayleys agents are also selling an entry-level apartment in the same building.
The newly refurbished 43sqm studio at 910/1 Courthouse Lane, comes with a CV of $470,000 and is being sold as part of a deceased estate.
Listing agent Matt Bayley told OneRoof the Metropolis was a classic. "It's architecture that hasn't dated,” Bayley added. “They don't build them like they used to. In the Metropolis you get a bathroom with a shower and a bath. You get massive amenities with a huge indoor swimming pool, an indoor spa, an outdoor spa, a sauna, and a huge gymnasium.”
Newer buildings may have a gym, but it might be only the size of the studio apartment he was selling, he said. “And you have this big, beautiful grand lobby, the concierge desks.
“It's proven itself to be one of the most popular apartment buildings in New Zealand. It is a very affordable opportunity to get into a great building. Especially because it's been refurbished. It's turnkey, it's ready to go.”
