Buyers have eaten up a house that was once owned and tastefully renovated by MasterChef judge and renowned Australian chef Shannon Bennett.
A young professional couple snapped up the five-bedroom, with a pool and top-notch Miele kitchen, for A$2.265 million.
5 Bruce Street, in the Melbourne suburb of West Kensington, was sold by Bennett and his actor partner Madeleine West in 2013 for A$1.65 million.

The beautifully renovated 5 Bruce St, in Melbourne, sold for well over A$2 million.
Nelson Alexander selling agent Jayson Watts said the MasterChef regular and Playing for Keeps star enlisted architect Nicholas Murrayto design a modern extension for the 1889 Hawthorn brick house during their ownership.
Mr Watts said the celebrity couple’s transformation, combining classic and contemporary styles, attracted househunters from across Melbourne when the property was dished up to the market this time around.

Up to 40 groups toured the residence, with inspections limited to genuine buyers with appointments.
“We had people wanting to come through to get ideas for their own renos,” the agent said.
The purchasers were keen on the home’s location close to the city and the accommodation it offered via five bedrooms, including a main with a dressing room, luxury ensuite and steam room. The “value the property represented” was also a drawcard, Mr Watts said: “If this home was in Port Melbourne, it would have cost $6-$7 million.”
The brilliant north-facing yard.
The stylish property was sold by Bennett in 2013.
The magnificent Miele kitchen was (unsurprisingly) a standout.
Other highlights include an open-plan living and dining room with a Jetmaster fireplace, a north-facing bluestone alfresco area with a wood-fired pizza oven and built-in barbecue, and Jack Merlo-landscaped grounds featuring a “gazing pond”, Polly Courtin paintings and a vertical garden by eco-artist Joost Bakker.
5 Bruce St offered five bedrooms.
Top-end landscaping, paintings and a vertical garden complete the picture.
Bennett and West sold a high-end property in October, for A$4.025 million, and a magnificent house the year before for A$9.78 million.
The pair also splashed A$16 million on a mansion in elite Melbourne suburb of Toorak in 2017.
