The cheapest beach property on the market right now is in the east coast of the South Island.

In a small fishing town Moeraki, just 70km from Dunedin, a beach property wouldn’t cut a hole in the budget, costing only $175,000.

The fenced-off humble Bute Street beach retreat sits on 859sq m of freehold rural Oamaru land.
