Herne Bay’s most luxurious apartment development, Jervois & Lawrence, is one step closer to completion, with the successful concrete pour of the top floor.

“We’ve poured the last floor, all the pre-cast panels are in place, and we’re working on the roof framing at the moment,” says Bryan Perrow, development manager with the Synergy Development Group.

“Once we are back on-site, we’ll be cladding and fitting out the building and are looking at completion in early 2021.”

Bayleys agent Will Green says that now the roof is going on, enquiries have really picked up.

“The closer the building gets to completion, the more people can see what it’s actually going to look like,” he says.

“Now they can envisage themselves in it rather than looking at plans on a piece of paper, which just isn’t the same as the real thing.”

Located on the corner of Jervois Rd and Lawrence St, Jervois & Lawrence is the epitome of elegant luxury in one of the most affluent and convenient spots in Auckland. Featuring 28 boutique apartments, every part of the build has been thoughtfully and fastidiously designed, from the elegant, timeless stone facade through to every inch of the luxurious interior.

“Northern apartments, which are also the largest, enjoy a spectacular outlook over the Waitemata Harbour,” says Perrow.

“Southern-facing apartments have an urban aspect, with views of the Sky Tower, the city and Mt Eden. Each apartment comes with a balcony or winter room to maximise the views and bring the outdoors into the luxurious interiors.”

Jervois & Lawrence’s living spaces are the definition of sumptuous yet low-maintenance luxury. The kitchens are from Italian designer Arclinea, arguably one of the world’s most famous kitchen companies, and are topped off with hand-crafted Gaggenau appliances. Fine hardwood flooring throughout the living areas is paired with beautiful plush carpets in the bedrooms, while vinyl wall coverings soften the hard, tiled surfaces in the bathrooms.

Almost every apartment has a unique point of difference.

“Most of these apartments come in different shapes and sizes so there’s plenty of choice for new homeowners,” Perrow says.

“We have one-, two- and three-bedroom options, some of which also come with a study or media room. There’s even a four-bedroom apartment available on level 4.”

Future-proofed common areas make living at Jervois & Lawrence easy too. In the basement are convenient storage lockers plus more than 65 carparks, all of which will be fitted with outlets for powering electric vehicles.

Its central location means that residents are close to the best bits of Auckland. Ponsonby is just down the road, the central city is within walking distance, and the North Shore is easily accessible via a motorway on-ramp just around the corner.

Of the 28 apartments available, 10 have already sold, including one of the penthouses.

“Herne Bay is one of the most desirable locations in New Zealand,” says Green. “This development epitomises everything about Herne Bay and the surrounding areas. It really is one of a kind.”

Prices: One- to four-bedroom apartments start from $1.27m, excluding carparks and basement storage. Penthouse $8.2m.
