Hidden away behind high hedges and walls on Shelly Beach Road is a Hampton’s style 1940s home which mesmerised its current owners with its extraordinarily private, resort-like grounds and its spaciousness.

Current owners Sally and Russ bought 115 Shelly Beach Road in St Marys Bay coming up five years ago after living in Takapuna, when Sally’s youngest son was still in-house.

“We looked on both sides of the bridge and we were so impressed with this property’s outdoor areas,” Sally says.

“It’s so private; you really can’t see anyone when you’re out here. Everybody thinks the house is amazing but they also say they had no idea how big it was. It’s deceiving because from the road you’d have no idea of its size.”
