The modern street-front premises housing an outlet of NZX-listed gourmet burger chain BurgerFuel has gone up for sale in the heart of Silverdale, on Auckland’s Hibiscus Coast.

The property sits at a prominent corner location alongside other big-brand occupiers as part of a smart commercial complex on Wainui Road, opposite Silverdale Mall.

The commercial unit for sale is fully leased to Silverdale Burgers Limited, trading as BurgerFuel, on a new six-year lease with two further four-year rights of renewal.

Since launching its original New Zealand store in 1995, BurgerFuel has opened more than 70 outlets across New Zealand, the Middle East and the USA.

The Wainui Road outlet generates a net annual rental return of $50,000 plus outgoings and GST. The lease agreement incorporates CPI rent reviews every two years and a market review at each renewal.

The property at Unit 7, 16 Wainui Road, Silverdale, is now being marketed for sale by Quinn Ngo, Karen Yung, and James Chan of Bayleys Auckland Central and Graeme Perigo of Bayleys Silverdale.

The property will go under the hammer at an auction on Wednesday 7 December, unless it is sold prior.

Ngo said the property consisted of a modern freehold unit of approximately 89 square metres.

“The unit comes with two dedicated car parks, supplemented by ample shared parking as part of the wider complex. It has convenient dual access from Wainui Road and Silverdale Street,” said Ngo.

Yung said the BurgerFuel outlet sat alongside complementary big-name tenants ASB and Westpac banks, Coffee Club, Sal's Pizza and Joy Mart Chinese Supermarket, within a busy commercial complex with zero vacancy.

“The unit’s unmissable corner position offers the tenant valuable brand exposure to Silverdale’s busy all-day traffic.

“The complex forms part of Silverdale’s Town Centre zone which provides a focus for commercial activities and growth in this affluent and bustling area,” said Yung.

Perigo said Silverdale presented an opportunity for a large surrounding residential and commercial catchment to enjoy shopping, entertainment, education and dining offerings, all within easy reach.

“16 Wainui Road is within walking distance of Silverdale Mall, The Warehouse, Countdown, Silverdale Centre and Northern Arena, and this concentration of activity draws people in and supports the tenant’s foodservice business,” said Perigo.

Chan said Silverdale continued to attract ongoing investment, promote commercial activity, and provide employment, housing and goods and services, all at a variety of scales.

“Underpinned by a high socio-economic local demographic, proximity to the Northern Motorway, and an established national-brand tenant on a new six-year lease, the street-front retail unit for sale is the epitome of a quality bottom-drawer investment,” Chan said.
