Organising a major renovation of this classic 1920s bungalow and bringing it into the 21st century with a clever reimagining of the existing layout proved quite a challenge for the current owner – who is a builder by trade – due to Covid 19 lockdowns.

“There were a lot of Zoom meetings involved,” says the owner of 16 Bellwood Avenue in Mount Eden, who has put his home on the market.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom property with off-street parking has an RV of $2.85 million, and will be sold at auction on November 6. According to OneRoof records, the home last changed hands in June 2020 for $1.6m.

Award-winning architects Pac Studio were given what the owner describes as fairly free rein and came up with a spectacular plan, then work got underway taking place in and around the material shortages and supply issues, which occurred from time to time throughout the year.
