I have been a real estate salesperson for 18 years and I still have a love of property, the building process and most of all helping people move on with their lives whether it be buying new property or selling an existing one. Moving house can be a very stressful time - my job is to make it easy for you.
I chose to work for Barfoot & Thompson Mangawhai because when I was selling my home the whole team from the branch turned up and I was impressed by their presentation and knowledge. Over time I got to know the team and had confidence in their skills.
My life before real estate was in the music business, both in sales and as a performer here in New Zealand and also in Australia. I still play in several bands and have a recording studio in my home. Another interest of mine is karate. I have been teaching Kyokushin Karate for the last 35 years and currently operate a club in Mangawhai. Karate can be life changing on many levels, fitness, self-confidence and also developing personal discipline, it teaches us to face our fears. It has been and still is a big part of my life.
With the new motorway Mangawhai is now only a 60 minute drive north of Auckland. Beautiful beaches, a boating and surfing paradise with excellent cafes and restaurants. My wife Liza and I have lived in Kaiwaka, just 20 minutes from Mangawhai, for around five years now. This whole area is growing fast, is a great place to live and we have met some beautiful people here and made many new friends. Prior to moving to the Kaipara we lived in the Hokianga for 18 years. Another beautiful area but with six children and 14 grandchildren between us, it was time to move a bit closer to family.
I am an easy-going kind of guy and always try to do the very best for people around me. I believe that if you do the hard yards, you’ll achieve great results. Call or email me at Barfoot & Thompson - let’s make your next move the best move.
