Five homes on one of Auckland’s most desirable streets are on the market for sale - but the agents involved say the timing of the listings is just a coincidence.
The properties on Lammermoor Drive in Saint Heliers, which range from an “entry-level” do-up to a modern concrete mansion, have a combined CV of just under $30 million.
Barfoot & Thompson agent Paul Neshausen, who is marketing one of the five homes on Lammermoor Drive, told OneRoof: “Hardly any properties come up in that street because it’s hard to upgrade from that street.
“You are sort of at the top of the ladder there, but coincidentally there’s five for sale right now.”

Lammermoor Drive is home to around 50 homes, many of which have water views and could easily be described as trophy homes. In the last 12 months, just one other property on the street has been listed for sale, an apartment at 1 Lammermoor Drive, which sold in 2023 for $1.71m.

“It’s not a big street, but it’s highly regarded,” Neshausen said.
“You get some exclusive streets in all the leafy suburbs – Parnell, Remuera, the Bays, Glendowie – and hardly any properties ever sell on them and then suddenly by pure chance you get four or five properties pop up in a row. It’s weird how that works.”
He said one of the key reasons properties on Lammermoor Drive came up for sale at all was owners needing to downsize.
Some were empty-nesters and didn’t need the five-bedroom home with the swimming pool, while others wanted to spend more time overseas at the beach house.
Neshausen is selling a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 45 Lammermoor Drive, for $4,899,500. The owners bought it 23 years ago and are now looking for something smaller.
Also on the market are 11, 12, 17 and 23 Lammermoor Drive.
New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty agent Natalie Newton is selling 17 Lammermoor Drive, which is on market for the first time in more than 24 years. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at number 17 was completely remodelled in 2017 and has a CV of $4.1m.
Newton told OneRoof the fact four other homes on the street were up for grabs at the same time was unusual but coincidental.
“It seems to be a unique situation, but it certainly gives buyers more options to find their perfect home in this sought-after neighbourhood.”
Barfoot & Thompson agent James Doole, who is marketing 12 Lammermoor Drive with colleague Bruce Jiao, said the sudden lift in homes for sale on the street could be due to the fact the real estate market was heading into its busy selling season.
“If you were going to go on the market, you’d probably go on around now anyway. It’s just a coincidence.”
There were a lot of large homes on full sites on Lammermoor Drive, which appealed to families, he said.
“It’s a beautiful street, consistent. You’ve got that lifestyle factor – people buy in the bays for the lifestyle. You’ve got the beaches, the nice walks, you’ve got all the bays on your doorstep. You are in the city, but it doesn’t feel like you are in the city.”
Doole’s listing is a five-bedroom, four-bathroom “concrete haven” with an outdoor pool and tennis court. The property has a CV of $8.7m, but Doole indicated the price would be above that. It last changed hands for $7.68m in August 2016, OneRoof records show.
Also up for grabs on the street are 11 Lammermoor Drive, a six-bedroom “grand residence” with a CV of $8.1m, and 23 Lammermoor Drive, a classic 1950s three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. The properties are listed with Barfoot & Thompson agents Paul Studman and Tony Keegan respectively.
