Les says: “The interior is inspired by an ocean liner and the previous owners, who built it, sourced premium fittings in shipyards and ship chandlers in the USA to obtain the ocean liner feeling.
“These are showcased in staircase hand-railing, lighting, cabinetry and many other features. Guests often comment on the exceptional attention to detail.”
This idyllic coastal lifestyle includes riparian rights and a four-tonne mooring. It suits the couple’s love of sailing and boating, swimming, walking and native bush.
Les says of their spectacular north-facing views across the bay: “To imagine the view, pretend you’ve died and gone to heaven. We have exquisite views out into Waipiro Bay and the entrance of Parekura Bay. Every room has a special view of the water or the bush.”

The current owners recently completed a two-year renovation project which included pushing out the front of the house for more space, adding a pool, terracing, more storage, and extensive fencing and landscaping.
