Bayleys agent Libby Greenwood said the five-bedroom, four-bathroom house was a standout piece of 1980s architecture.
The vendors bought the home in 2018 for just under $2 million, and had been captivated by its pointed turrets, conversation pits, round porthole windows, and vaulted ceilings.
“The interiors are filled with life, showing soft curved walls and arches encompassing sunken seating areas, and surprises around each corner," Greenwood told OneRoof.
“The living spaces are gentle in feel but are exciting spaces to be in.”

Greenwood said the house, which has expansive decks and a pool, was iconic and the “chocolate kiss” turrets were classic Ian Burrow.
The property had three living spaces, and the conversation pits had wonderful views of the water, she said. “Everything looks out over the water. It all faces north and gets beautiful sunsets. There’s not a lot of boxes it doesn’t tick.
“The privacy, the sunshine, and the tranquillity – it’s just a very special place.”
The property, which sits on 1087sqm, is at the end of a cul de sac at Aeroview Drive, in Beach Haven, and has riparian rights and access to a shared jetty.

“You can fish off there, you can kayak. It really is lifestyle in the middle of Auckland. It offers a whole different avenue for kids to grow up.”
She added: “Like in Takapuna Beach, Milford Beach, or Bayswater or Devonport, you've got neighbours all around, but you also have solitude. It just is tranquil and it's a great feeling.”
The property, which is rented out on Airbnb, could be revamped the home and taken to the next level, the agent told OneRoof.
“The bones are all there and it’s well presented – it’s incredibly liveable – but most probably someone will come in and redo the bathrooms.
“It just needs someone to come in and love it and create their dream.”

The home would appeal to old and young, people who loved interesting spaces, and it was great for entertaining. “It will also appeal to travellers - it is like being on a permanent cruise liner right on the water.
“With the shared jetty, below it will appeal to boaties who can moor their boat in view and just row out from the jetty.”
The property has a CV of $2.55m and goes to auction on March 5.
Another Burrows home up for grabs on the same day is 2/9 Cobblestone Lane, in nearby Hillcrest. The four-bedroom home is in the same block as Burrows' more famous "Noddy House" but features the same quirky 70s style, castle-like turrets and circular windows.
It goes to auction on March 5, has a CV of $1.65m and is being marketed for sale by Barfoot & Thompson agents Lily Zhang and Delia Feng.
