Megan Lockwood has joined Colliers as the National Director of Residential Project Marketing and brings an impressive track record of working on major developments in New Zealand and Australia.
The Colliers Residential Project Marketing team specialises in identifying attractive development sites and advising on project design to unlock high-quality residential projects.
With in-house expertise spanning project inception through to marketing campaigns and sell down, it is a true value-add agency service offering.
During the past few years they have consulted on, marketed, and sold over $1.75 billion in off-the-plan sales.

Their current projects in the market include The Domain Collection apartments in Newmarket, the masterplanned neighbourhood Wirihana in Manukau, Te Māra terraced housing in Mount Roskill, apartments in Onehunga including the newly completed Onehunga Mall Club, and the final stage of Fabric of Spring St.
Lockwood will lead a team of experienced and talented experts that have transacted thousands of dwellings across Auckland, including Director Jeff Davidson, Associate Director Juliet Lichtenstein, and Project Sales Consultants Joanne Speir, Duncan Macdonald, Karishma Singh, Kalala Bowden and Chao Lim.
Lockwood has a Bachelor of Property from the University of Auckland and finished her studies in 2011 before embarking on a career in property development that has taken her to Perth, Sydney, and back to Auckland.
Lockwood's time as a Development Manager at Mirvac in Australia included being involved in the inception and delivery of over 800 apartments across the waterfront Leighton Beach apartments in Perth and St Leonards Square apartments in Sydney, as well as the development of Perth s Old Treasury Buildings.
More recently, she spent the past six-and-a-half years working for Willis Bond in Auckland as a Senior Development Manager responsible for the development of the apartment offering within the masterplanned urban communities in Wynyard Quarter and Takapuna, as well as several early concepts through the feasibility phase of development.
Originally from Auckland, Lockwood lives in Northcote Point with her family.
She says having the opportunity to add value and assist developers to create successful projects that will continue to reshape Auckland is an appealing prospect.
"I come to this role with a developer mindset, which I believe will add considerable value to developers during their key early design and planning phases where saleability and feasibility must be front of mind.
"I can't wait to assist them in creating developments that will meet the needs of buyers and then lead the marketing and sell down period with our highly skilled, project-specialised Colliers sales team," Lockwood says.
"Joining Colliers gives me a really strong platform where I can leverage the experienced New Zealand-based team as well as the international expertise of our overseas colleagues."
While the economic backdrop has presented challenges for developers during the past two years, Lockwood says now is the time to be proactive.
"Our specialised project sales team are transacting both at the upper and first home buyer ends of the market. We see positive signals and know that when interest rates drop more buyers will be returning to the market, coupled with a period of a lower number of project launches, that pent up demand will lead to increased activity.
"We are encouraging developers to explore their options and make tactical moves with their projects so they can hit the ground running to meet that future demand."
Charles Cooper, Auckland Managing Director at Colliers, says having someone with Lockwood s development expertise will be a major asset to Colliers.
"Megan's extensive and broad base of knowledge, coupled with international experience, means she is thoroughly equipped to provide our clients with strategic advice and market-leading service," Cooper says.
"We are incredibly excited to have an expert of her calibre join the team and believe she has all of the tools to accelerate the success of our clients."
