Young Nixon Herd has always been a fan of property videos. So when his parents Grant and Keri were selling their Marlborough family home they asked First National Real Estate agent Michael Rea if the lad could be involved in the open homes.
Rea went one better, becoming talent agent and coach for young Nixon in a video the pair produced for the property.
"The kid's just a natural," says Rea. "I do regular property videos and his parents had said he's become quite a fan, he's talking about getting into real estate."

Wearing his dad's tie - Rea wasn't responsible for wardrobe or hair - the chirpy youngster walks viewers through the best of the family home. There are possibly secrets mum and dad would rather not share (dad's not allowed in the en-suite loo, mum does all the cooking, nobody uses the office except for gaming and family fun, the garage is less workshop, more games room), but young Nixon is confident and the pair have a great double act. The backyard trampoline gets a workout, Nixon enthuses about barbecues and cricket games, and even has a good line in dad jokes.
Rea enjoyed this video, putting someone else to work, than his last video that went viral: in that one he kayaked up a creek, then jumped off the jetty. Only to discover that the stream was full of eels.

Not to be outdone, a raunchy dancing music video for a western Sydney property by LJ Hooker Bankstown agent Sam Nader, a highly suggestive tour of the house, had to be taken down in May after it went viral.
Nixon has continued creating just the right amount of enthusiastic patter for the property, 'working' open homes with Rea. In five days the property has had 22 views and both agent and 'junior agent' are very pleased.
This kid will go far: the video fades on the pair heading down the driveway, Nixon negotiating his share of commission with agent Rea.
