Experienced valuations specialist Anna Lomas has returned to Colliers as a Director of Valuation & Advisory Services and will be based in Tauranga.

Having first worked for Colliers in Wellington in 2006, Lomas has also enjoyed stints with the business in Vietnam and Sydney. She spent the past nine years with insurance firm Aon, starting in Sydney before returning to the Bay of Plenty in 2017.

Lomas completed a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Valuation & Property Management and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Business Psychology at Massey University before entering the workforce in 2004.

Lomas, who lives with her family in Papamoa, says she is thrilled to be back in familiar surroundings.

“As the Bay of Plenty and Waikato areas continue to grow at a rapid pace there is considerable potential for Colliers to establish a valuations presence in these key markets that make up New Zealand’s economic ‘Golden Triangle’ alongside Auckland,” Lomas says.

“It’s great to be back at Colliers alongside some people I have worked with previously.”

The latest Census data notes a considerable population boom in Tauranga city with the area experiencing an 11.5 per cent boost between 2018 and 2023. The Western Bay of Plenty district grew by 10.4 per cent during the same period.

Colliers has a strong brokerage presence in Bay of Plenty through its Tauranga office, which has been in operation for more than 20 years, while there are also multiple Rural Sales Advisors spread across the region.

Led by Managing Director Simon Clark, the Tauranga brokerage business claimed Franchise of the Year at the Colliers awards night earlier this year, reflecting their impressive performance in the thriving commercial and industrial markets in the area in 2023.

Colliers Project Leaders also has an office in Tauranga, where Lomas will be based.

Kane Sweetman, National Director of Valuation & Advisory Services at Colliers, says having someone with the experience of Lomas join the team is a great addition.

“We are pleased to welcome Anna back to Colliers and her international experience will be extremely useful as we continue to build our presence across New Zealand,” Sweetman says.

“With our established brokerage offering in the wider Bay of Plenty area, it’s a natural fit that we can offer specialist valuation and advisory services through a highly knowledgeable professional like Anna.”

The Colliers Valuation & Advisory Services team is one of the most experienced in the organisation, with senior experts across all sectors.

At last year’s RICS Awards, Colliers was named Valuation Team of the Year.
