Mt Cardrona Station is a master-planned village, drawing on proven development, design and architectural talent.

The developers emphasize “connection to views, open spaces and natural vegetation is central to the design ethos,” all the while interlacing strong references to Central Otago’s rich pioneering story.

Mt Cardrona Station is now set to launch the latest addition to the Mt Cardrona Station community – The Ridges.

Released in three stages, the first is Enright Ridge, named after Tim Enright, one of the first pioneers of the valley and one whose legacy remains.

Enright Ridge lots will be elevated to maximise the mountain and valley views, backing directly onto a reserve, and within quick reach of the contemporary community village.

Tom Morton, of Mt Cardrona Station, highlights, “The Ridges lots are slightly smaller than previous neighbourhoods and therefore more accessible.

“They offer the buyer flexibility with the choice to either progress with the conceptual designs on offer, or to bring your own architect in.”

Ranging between 300sqm and 460sqm, the sections will be available from February 2023, but owners will have up to five years to build.

The Ridges will offer 26 sites in total, the first 11 belonging to Enright Ridge, priced from $495,000 for land only.

Concept designs and proposed residences of the total development are conceived by the Leuschke Group, headed by accomplished architect, Colin Leuschke.

Leuschke says The Ridges’ concepts are designed to “settle into the tussock-filled landscape, using as many natural materials as possible, while maximising views to the north and south.”

“Our designs are reminiscent, in a contemporary way, of old Otago’s farmyards, sheep stations and mining camps, with their lean-tos and pitched roofs,” Leuschke says.

Aptly named, The Homestead will be the village’s cornerstone, offering day-long dining, along with shared workspaces and meeting rooms, and will include The Club Room – a private lounge for owners.

The amenities will be developed in stages alongside neighbourhood releases, and will incorporate hot pools, a gym, and an indoor swimming pool.

Future facilities will include a ski and bike workshop, and ski area transfers. Additionally, on site property management services will be available for owners.

Twenty minutes’ drive from Wanaka and 45 from Queenstown, the station boasts a position unlike any other.

Residents’ capacity for adventure is boundless. Access to Cardrona Alpine Resort fringes the Station, and 30kms of expertly-designed walking and hiking trails will run through the station’s terrain.

New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty agent, Myles Green, who is marketing The Ridges, says, “We expect there to be considerable interest in this new neighbourhood.

“These lots offer expansive views, immediate reserve access and wide scope for designing a home. The Ridges provides a land option at a price point that completes our breadth of offering across Mt Cardrona Station.”
