Precinct Properties has worked with Tennent Brown architects and Dunning Thornton engineers to design a commercial complex incorporating two interconnected buildings for Wellington which will give businesses a secure and flexible base from which they can readily respond to change.
The site forms part of Bowen Campus located adjacent to Parliament House and the Beehive, and situated between two existing buildings - the 'Bowen State Building' - now Defence House and 'Charles Fergusson Tower' which were redeveloped for occupancy by the Crown in October 2019.
On completion there will be around 5,000 employees occupying Bowen Campus. A network of laneways between the buildings will offer sheltered, landscaped places for staff to sit or move through on their way to and from work. These laneways will incorporate retail, cafes and other amenities and enhance pedestrian routes for the public.
40 & 44 Bowen Street are being built with completion due for late 2022/early 2023. 44 Bowen Street is now fully leased with only one part floor remaining in 40 Bowen Street.
